Pete is a native of Knoxville and the Elkmont area. He is graduated from Young High School. He is married to the former Ann Hawk from Cleveland TN. They have two married adult children and seven grandchildren plus a “baby-a-dog”.
Pete graduated in zoology from UT after service in the Army medical corps. Feeling a call to ministry, he attended Columbia Presbyterian Seminary receiving Bachelor, Master, and Doctor of Ministry degrees.
He has served in ministry in Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He has extensive experience as a chaplain in the Army, hospitals, hospice, law enforcement (currently serving with the Blount County sheriff’s office), work place ministry and Red Cross.
Pete is currently employed as a part-time chaplain at Park West Hospital. Ann and Pete volunteer as ushers at UT football and basketball games.
